Profile
Haitham Mokhtar is a Chartered Engineer (CEng, CMarEng), a Fellow of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology (FIMarEST), a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCIArb) and a CEDR-accredited mediator. He holds the UAE Golden Visa (Humanitarian and Professional Pioneers category).
He has more than 30 years of experience in engineering and project management, over 20 of them managing offshore and onshore oil and gas projects as client, contractor and consultant, with capital projects up to USD 650 million for ADNOC Offshore, Enerflex and Petrofac.
Since April 2018 he has worked as an engineering expert witness for the UAE Ministry of Justice and the courts. He is a registered expert with the Ministry of Justice, the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, the Sharjah Judicial Department, Dubai Courts and Ras Al Khaimah Courts. He founded Clear Axis in 2025 to give technical, non-legal support for resolving and avoiding disputes.
He is active in the UAE dispute-resolution community: a member of the ICC UAE Steering Committee, Honorary Secretary of the CIArb UAE Branch from 2023 to 2025, and a speaker at Dubai Arbitration Week and the Modern Buildings Summit Dubai.
